Bihar Officials Shine at National Civil Services Cultural Festival

Patna: The All-India Civil Services Cultural Festival, organized by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation and guided by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Government of India, kicked off on Tuesday. As part of the festival, a theater competition was held at the Urvashi Stadium in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna, where civil servants from various states showcased their artistic talents.

The competition, which will run until March 3, features music, dance, and theater performances that highlight social issues, patriotism, and human emotions. The event aims to promote arts and culture and provide a national platform for civil servants to showcase their talents.

On Wednesday, officials from Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, and other states presented their performances. The Haryana team staged a play called "Balatkar" (Rape), which exposed the societal hypocrisy towards women. The play revolved around a girl who fights for justice after being assaulted by a man who is respected in society.

The Mumbai team presented a play called "Univanchi Goshta" (A Story of a Blind Youth), which highlighted the importance of acceptance and companionship. The play told the story of a blind youth and a mute girl who get married and learn to live with each other's limitations.

The Chandigarh team staged a play called "Sankraman" (Transition), which explored the generational gap between a father and son. The play emphasized the need for understanding and compromise between individuals from different generations.

The Bihar team stole the show with their performance of the historic play "Porus-Sikandar." The play, which depicted the bravery and pride of Indian warriors, received a standing ovation from the audience.

The festival has brought together civil servants from across the country to celebrate arts and culture. The event has provided a platform for officials to showcase their talents and promote social messages.

The competition will continue until March 3, with more performances and presentations scheduled. The event has been attended by several dignitaries, including Rahul Kumar, Vijay Prakash Meena, Abhishek Ranjan, and Vinod Duhun.
