Bihar to Host First-Ever All-India Civil Services Music, Dance, and Drama Competition

Patna, February 19, 2025: The Bihar government is set to host the first-ever All-India Civil Services Music, Dance, and Drama Competition, a prestigious event that will bring together over 750 civil service officers from across the country.
The competition, scheduled to take place from February 25 to March 3 at the Udyog Bhawan auditorium in Patna, will feature a range of cultural events, including music, dance, and drama performances.
According to Shri Pranav Kumar, Secretary, Art, Culture, and Youth Department, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, the event aims to promote cultural exchange and camaraderie among civil service officers from different states.
The competition will be held in various categories, including Hindustani music, Carnatic music, Western vocals, folk singing, and instrumental music. Winners will be awarded prizes in each category.
The event is being organized by the Bihar Secretariat Sports Foundation's Cultural Division, under the aegis of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
A total of 11 sub-committees have been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. These committees will oversee various aspects, including accommodation, food, transportation, and publicity.
This event marks a significant milestone in Bihar's cultural calendar, and is expected to promote cultural exchange and understanding among civil service officers from across the country.
