ICC Women’s World Cup 2025: Navi Mumbai Replaces Bengaluru as Key Venue, Final Could Be Held at DY Patil Stadium

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a revised schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, confirming Navi Mumbai as a key venue in place of Bengaluru. The tournament, featuring eight top international teams, will take place from September 30 to November 2, with the final now set to be played either in Navi Mumbai or Colombo.

The change comes after the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru was ruled out due to unavailability. In its place, the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai has been added and will host up to five matches — including three group games, one semifinal, and possibly the final.

While the venues have been reshuffled, the tournament dates remain unchanged. Other confirmed locations include the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Welcoming the update, ICC Chairman Jay Shah praised Navi Mumbai’s growing significance in women’s cricket.

“Navi Mumbai has emerged as a genuine home for women’s cricket in recent years,” Shah said. “The support it has received during international matches and the Women’s Premier League has been outstanding. I have no doubt the same energy will define the key matches of this World Cup as it returns to India after 12 years.”

He added, “This tournament has the potential to become one of those defining moments that help shape the future of the sport.”
