Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Record-Breaking Century in India U19’s Win Over England

India U19 opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi is on fire in the Youth series against England U19. In the fourth ODI at Worcester, the 14-year-old smashed a record-breaking century off just 52 balls and finished with a stunning 143 runs, sending England’s bowlers packing.

He broke the fastest century record in Men’s Youth ODIs, previously held by Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam, and celebrated his milestone with pure joy, soaking in the crowd’s applause.

Vaibhav started cautiously but soon went all out, punishing both seamers and spinners. After his opening partner fell early, Vihaan Malhotra supported him at the other end while Vaibhav dominated the game.

Commentators couldn’t stop comparing him to “Yuvraj Singh on steroids” and called him a “genius” for his incredible hitting.

Vaibhav has been consistent throughout the series, with strong scores leading India to a 2-1 lead. Off the field, he recently watched Shubman Gill’s double century at Edgbaston, which inspired him even more.

He first grabbed attention during IPL 2025 with a blistering 101 off 38 balls for Rajasthan Royals, becoming the youngest-ever T20 centurion at just 13 when he was picked up for ₹1.10 crore.

Before that, he impressed in youth cricket with a quick century against Australia U19 and played a key role in India’s Under-19 Asia Cup run.

At 14, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a thrilling talent to watch out for in Indian cricket’s future.
