Tele-Law 2.0 Launches, Revolutionizing Legal Services Across India

New Delhi :Today marked a historic milestone in the evolution of the Department of Justice's Tele-Law program, as Law Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated Tele-Law 2.0 under the DISHA Scheme. With a resounding commitment to justice accessibility, Tele-Law 2.0 has successfully delivered 50 lakh legal consultations, reshaping the landscape of legal services in India.
Tele-Law 2.0 integrates Tele-Law Services with Nyaya Bandhu pro bono legal services, enhancing accessibility for citizens seeking legal aid. Minister Shri Meghwal celebrated the emergence of a new era in digitally delivered, citizen-centric legal services, emphasizing the role of technology in modern justice.
Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Tele-Law has touched the lives of 50 lakh beneficiaries, aligning legal guidance, support, and representation into a seamless process. Shri Meghwal urged legal professionals to contribute pro bono services, ensuring no citizen is left without essential legal assistance.
The event featured the release of the 4th Edition of Voices of Beneficiaries Booklet, showcasing real-life stories of those positively impacted by Tele-Law. The seamless integration between Tele-Law and Nyaya Bandhu pro bono legal services was unveiled, establishing a direct link between legal aid seekers and pro bono advocates, ensuring accessible justice for all.
During the event, Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal engaged in an interactive session with Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), beneficiaries, and panel lawyers, recognizing their pivotal role in bridging technology and citizens within the Tele-Law program. The event highlighted the importance of early dispute resolution and the contributions of para-legal volunteers and village-level entrepreneurs.
Looking forward, Shri Meghwal announced the extension of Tele-Law services to all 2.65 lakh Gram Panchayats through common service centers, aiming to reach one crore beneficiaries by 2026. Special Secretary, Department of Justice, Shri Rajinder Kumar Kashyap, emphasized that expanding access to the judiciary is vital for society, with Tele-Law playing a pivotal role in reaching the last mile.
Secretary Justice Shri S.K.G Rahate outlined the Tele-Law program's innovative approach, celebrating its remarkable growth from 1800 CSC centers to 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats. He applauded the integration of Tele-Law and Nyaya Bandhu pro bono legal services as a transformative step, ensuring citizens have seamless access to legal guidance and representation.
The event was attended by Secretary Justice Shri S.K.G Rahate, Special Secretary, DoJ, Shri Rajinder Kumar Kashyap, JS (A2J, DoJ) Shri Niraj Kumar Gayagi, and Shri Akshay Kumar Jha, COO, CSC.
