India Issues Emergency Advisory for Citizens in Israel Amid US-Israeli Strike on Iran

The Government of India on Friday issued an official advisory for Indian nationals in Israel, urging them to exercise utmost caution and follow local security protocols amid escalating regional tensions following joint US-Israeli military action against Iran. The advisory comes amid fears of Iranian retaliation and a fast-deteriorating security situation across the Middle East.

The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has instructed citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, remain close to safe locations, and strictly adhere to safety guidelines issued by Israeli local authorities. Citizens have been urged to stay in constant contact with the Embassy and share updates on their situation to enable swift assistance in the event of an emergency.

A separate advisory has also been issued by the Indian Embassy in Tehran, reflecting New Delhi's concern for its nationals on both sides of the widening conflict.

The Embassy has activated round-the-clock emergency contact lines for Indian nationals in distress. Citizens can reach Embassy officials at any time on the following:

Emergency Phone Numbers: +972-547520711 and +972-543278392

Email: cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in

The Embassy has also urged all Indian citizens who have not yet registered their details to do so immediately through the official online portal — a step that is critical for identification and evacuation planning in a crisis scenario.

The conflict has already begun disrupting civilian air travel significantly. Iran's closure of its airspace, combined with Israel's declaration of a state of emergency, has forced multiple airlines to cancel or divert flights. Indian nationals planning to travel are advised to confirm their flight status directly with their airlines before proceeding to the airport.

India's Ministry of External Affairs is maintaining constant contact with its embassies in both Israel and Iran as the situation evolves. New Delhi — home to thousands of Indian professionals, students, and workers across the region — has appealed for international calm while making clear that the safety of its citizens remains the government's primary concern.
