Jacob & Co Unveils $1.5 Million Luxury Watch Tribute to Anant Ambani's Vantara

Luxury watchmaker Jacob & Co has unveiled an extravagant timepiece themed on Vantara, the private wildlife centre run by Anant Ambani, youngest son of Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani. The watch features a hand-painted figurine of Anant seated at the centre of the dial.
While the watchmaker has not disclosed the official price, industry collective Watchopea estimates its value at $1.5 million (approximately Rs 137 crore).
Intricate Design Details
The bejewelled timepiece showcases sculpted figures of a lion and Bengal tiger placed around Anant's statue, symbolizing the wildlife sanctuary's inhabitants. Jacob & Co stated the design represents "stewardship and responsibility."
The watch comprises 397 precious stones, including diamonds, green sapphires, garnets, and other gems. An executive associated with Ethos Watches, the brand's India retail partner, confirmed the watch is not yet available in stores.
Vantara: The Private Wildlife Centre
Vantara spans 3,500 acres in Jamnagar, Gujarat, near Mukesh Ambani's world's largest oil refinery. The facility, branded as a private wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre, houses over 2,000 species including lions, elephants, and tigers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vantara in March 2024. The centre gained global attention as a venue for Anant Ambani's lavish pre-wedding celebrations, attended by celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson.
