Reza Pahlavi Says Iran’s Regime Is Collapsing, Urges Khamenei to Step Down Amid Rising Tensions

As tensions between Iran and Israel continue to rise, exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has declared that the Islamic Republic is on the brink of collapse and called on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to step down peacefully.

Speaking in a forceful address, Pahlavi claimed that top Iranian officials were preparing to flee the country, and urged Khamenei to resign in exchange for a fair trial and due legal process.

“The Islamic Republic is collapsing. Khamenei and others are trying to escape Iran,” Pahlavi said. “I have a direct message for Ali Khamenei: step down. If you do, you will be given a fair trial and the rule of law will apply.”

Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last monarch Mohammad Reza Shah, also warned Western governments against offering political or economic support to Tehran, arguing that it would only prolong the crisis and lead to more violence.

“If the West throws this regime a lifeline, it will only fuel more bloodshed and chaos,” he cautioned. “This regime will never willingly surrender after being humiliated. As long as it remains in power, it will lash out — whether in Washington, Paris, Jerusalem, Riyadh, or Tehran. No one is safe.”

Addressing the Iranian people, Pahlavi reiterated that he is not seeking political power, but is ready to help guide the country through a peaceful democratic transition.

“I do not seek power,” he said. “I offer myself to the people of Iran to help lead them through this critical time — toward democracy, stability, and justice.”

His remarks follow recent U.S. strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, which Pahlavi described as the direct result of what he called Supreme Leader Khamenei’s “catastrophic pursuit of nuclear weapons” by a “terrorist regime.”

The comments come at a moment of growing regional instability, as Iran faces increasing domestic unrest and heightened international scrutiny over its policies and its ongoing confrontation with Israel.
