Times Square in New York Transforms into an Open-Air Yoga Studio for International Yoga Day 2025 Celebration

The Consulate General of India in New York joined forces with Times Square to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day with an exciting and uplifting yoga session right in the heart of the city.
People from all walks of life — yoga lovers, locals, and tourists — gathered together to honor this ancient Indian tradition that has become a global way to find peace and wellness. You could see hundreds of folks stretching and flowing through yoga poses amid the buzz and bright lights of Times Square.
The Consulate shared some snapshots on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “CGI New York, in collaboration with @TimesSquareNYC, hosted a vibrant Yoga Session at the iconic Crossroads of the World – Times Square! Here are a few more glimpses from this energising celebration of wellness and unity.”
Adding to the spirit of the day, well-known actor Anupam Kher took the stage to share a few words, bringing a warm touch of Indian culture and pride to the gathering.
It was a wonderful moment of connection, showing just how yoga continues to bring people together and spread good vibes — even in the busiest places on the planet.
