Tragic Bus Accident in Nepal: 14 Dead as Indian Passenger Bus Plunges into Marsyangdi River

An Indian passenger bus with about 40 passengers has fallen into the Marsyangdi River in the Abukhaireni area of Tanahun district of Nepal. Nepal Police has confirmed the incident. DSP Deepkumar Rai of District Police Office Tanahun informed that the bus with UP FT 7623 number plate fell into the river and is now lying on the river bank.
14 bodies have been recovered in relief and rescue operations after the accident and 16 injured passengers have been rescued safely. The bus had left for Kathmandu carrying Indian passengers staying at Majheri Resort in Pokhara. Indian passengers were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
Local police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and started relief work and sent the injured to nearby hospitals. According to preliminary reports, the reasons for the bus falling into the river are being investigated. The administration has taken all necessary measures considering the seriousness of the incident and has given priority to relief work.
This tragic incident has created a wave of concern and grief among the local community and passengers. The administration and rescue teams are thoroughly investigating all the circumstances of this accident and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected families.
