Akshay Kumar Announces Wrap of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, Confirms 2026 Theatrical Release
Bollywood star shares festive wrap video featuring a massive ensemble cast, calling the third instalment of the iconic Welcome franchise his biggest project yet.
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has announced the official wrap of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, the highly anticipated sequel in the hit ‘Welcome’ franchise.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Akshay offered fans a glimpse of the star-studded cast making a dramatic entrance set to a festive Christmas jingle.
"Wishing one and all a very Merry Christmas from the giant cast of Welcome to the Jungle! In cinemas 2026. Never have I ever been part of something so big...none of us have. We can't wait to present our gift to you. It's a wrap, people! Well done, gang. Such a huge effort from everyone involved in making this happen. From our big family to yours at home, we wish you nothing but the best for 2026," Akshay wrote in his post.
The teaser video features Akshay alongside returning and new cast members, including Raveena Tandon, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Johny Lever, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aftab Shivdasani, and Rajpal Yadav.
The ensemble appears armed and geared up, walking in unison, while Akshay showcases a rugged new look with long white hair and a beard.
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ marks the third installment in the popular franchise that originally starred Feroz Khan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal.
The second installment, ‘Welcome Back’ (2015), featured John Abraham and Shruti Haasan replacing Akshay and Katrina, and was directed by Anees Bazmee.
The upcoming sequel is helmed by Ahmed Khan and promises an even bigger spectacle, featuring Lara Dutta, Shreyas Talpade, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rahul Dev, along with musical appearances by singer-brothers Daler Mehndi and Mika.
While plot details and a confirmed release date remain under wraps, the film is slated for a 2026 theatrical release, with fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the iconic comedy-action saga.
