The much-anticipated Netflix series The Bads of Bollywood, written and directed by Aryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, unveiled its first preview video on Tuesday. The clip offers a glimpse into the show’s satirical take on the Indian film industry—its glamour, controversies, relationships, and hidden realities.

The preview opens with Shah Rukh Khan narrating what Bollywood truly represents, drawing a line between a “hero” and a “born hero.” His voiceover reflects on the countless dreams that the industry launches daily, while acknowledging that not every dream translates into stardom.

The series introduces Lakshya Lalwani as Aasman Singh, a rising star, alongside Raghav Juyal as his friend. Manish Chaudhry plays a wealthy producer named Sodawallah, eager to make the “biggest family drama ever.”

The preview features some high-voltage cameos:

  • Bobby Deol as veteran superstar Ajay Talvar
  • Salman Khan at a flamboyant party
  • Ranveer Singh, signing off with his trademark energy and the phrase “very hard”
  • Karan Johar, appearing as himself, portrayed as a frustrated director disillusioned with people and the industry

The teaser also hints at social commentary, seemingly poking fun at how some celebrities gain renewed fame following jail terms in controversial cases.

The series includes Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Rajat Bedi in significant roles, weaving together multiple perspectives of Bollywood’s complex ecosystem.

By blending satire, drama, and self-referential humour, The Bads of Bollywood promises a meta look at the film industry through Aryan Khan’s lens.

Netflix is expected to announce the official release date soon, though the preview has already stirred buzz for its bold concept and star-studded cameos.
