The new film promotion policy of the Bihar government is proving to be no less than a lifesaver for Hindi filmmakers in the state. With the efforts of the Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation, the attention of the film industry is now constantly being attracted towards Bihar. The latest example of this is the film 'Tiya', which is being shot 100 percent in Bihar itself. This is a suspense thriller film being made under the direction of Rao Devendra Singh, in which 'The Kashmir Files' actor Darshan Kumar and 'Kali Kali Aankhen' web series actress Aanchal Singh are playing the lead roles. Ira Sinha is playing the role of a child artist.

The shooting of the film started from Valmikinagar and is now going on in the capital Patna. Filmmaker Sagar Srivastava openly praised this policy of the state government and told that he not only got government support during the shooting. But, he also got full support from the local people.

90 percent of the film has been shot in Valmikinagar and surrounding areas. While, the remaining 10 percent shooting is being done at places like Boring Road, Marine Drive, ISKCON Temple and Rajvanshi Nagar in Patna. The entire shooting will be completed by June 20 and the film is likely to be released in theatres in November.

In this regard, Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, Pranav Kumar says that the entire shooting of the film 'Tiya' in Bihar is a positive sign for the state. It is a pleasure to see that filmmakers are now taking Bihar's culture, locations and local talent seriously. Whether it is the natural beauty of Valmiki Nagar or the modern identity of Patna - it is a matter of pride to see all this on the big screen. I hope that such efforts will not only give impetus to the film industry, but will also provide new opportunities to the local youth. I personally wish that such creative activities continue to grow in Bihar.
