Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor recently made her Bollywood debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, but the film had a slow start, earning just ₹35 lakh on its opening day—the lowest among recent star kids’ debuts.
For comparison, Ananya Panday’s Student of the Year 2 opened with ₹12.06 crore, Sara Ali Khan’s Kedarnath made ₹7.25 crore, and Janhvi Kapoor’s Dhadak earned ₹8.71 crore on their first days. Others like Rasha Thadani and Karan Deol had more modest openings around ₹1-1.5 crore.
Shanaya’s debut signals a challenging beginning to her Bollywood career.
