A tense moment unfolded in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday during a lawsuit filed by Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapur, who are seeking a share of their late father Sunjay Kapur’s assets.

The courtroom drama involved a sharp verbal exchange between the lawyers representing the children and the lawyer for Priya Sachdev Kapur, Sunjay’s third wife. A video shared by Bar and Bench captured the heated moment when senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Karisma’s children, told senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, representing Priya Kapur, “don’t shout at me,” after Nayar had snapped, “don’t interrupt me.”

The clash occurred as Justice Jyoti Singh was hearing the case, which revolves around the children accusing Priya Sachdev Kapur of forging and fabricating Sunjay Kapur’s will.

Sunjay Kapur, Karisma’s ex-husband, passed away on June 12 this year. His children claim a share in assets worth around ₹30,000 crore. The case took another turn when Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, entered the fray, claiming assets worth ₹10,000 crore and alleging she was kept in the dark about important documents related to her late son’s will. Her lawyer described the situation as “incredibly unholy,” insisting that she should have been entitled to those assets.

On the other side, Priya Kapur’s lawyer argued that the lawsuit shouldn’t proceed, claiming Samaira and Kiaan were already given assets worth ₹1,900 crore just before filing the suit.

The Delhi High Court has directed Priya Kapur to provide a detailed list of all movable and immovable assets owned by Sunjay Kapur up until his death. The next hearing is scheduled for October 9.

The case continues to stir emotions and tension as the family disputes over the late businessman’s vast estate play out in court.
