Himesh Reshammiya, famous for his unique style and larger-than-life screen presence, has taken movie reviewing to a whole new level — turning it into a full-on performance. In a special segment called “Reviews-E-Reshammiya,” he gave his take on the action-comedy Heads of State, starring Priyanka Chopra, John Cena, and Idris Elba, and fans absolutely loved it.
In a video shared by Prime Video on Sunday, Himesh is surrounded by flashing cameras as he dramatically reviews the film with a perfect mix of humor and flair that had viewers cracking up. He described Heads of State as an “action mixtape” filled with “seeti-worthy moments” — and even broke into the song Tandoori Days right in the middle of the review!
With his signature witty lines, Himesh said things like, “Is movie me punches hi nahi, punchlines bhi hai” (This movie doesn’t just have punches, it has punchlines too) and praised Priyanka Chopra by saying, “PC ne ek global film mein, desi tadka dal diya hai. Jese mere Gen Z fans kehte hai, she ate” (Priyanka added a desi twist to a global film — or as my Gen Z fans say, she ‘ate’).
He wrapped up his colorful commentary by saying, “Tumhari life me itna action nahi hoga, jitna, Heads of State ke ek scene me hai” (There isn’t as much action in your entire life as there is in a single scene of Heads of State).
Fans couldn’t get enough of this one-of-a-kind review and flooded the comments with laughing emojis. One fan wrote, “Super Star, Rock Star OG Bole To @realhimesh Sir ka Jalwa Hi Alag Hai Boss, Jai Mata Di Rock Star, Let’s Rock.” Another said, “Rizz Hi Rizz bhai, Rizz Hi Rizz” (So much swag, brother). Others called him “Lord Himesh Reshammiya” and “OG for reason,” showing their love with fire and heart-eye emojis.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Heads of State promises a wild mix of political chaos, buddy comedy, and non-stop action. The story follows US President Will Derringer (John Cena) and British Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba), whose egos clash when Air Force One is shot down in enemy territory. MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra) is sent to save them, and together, the unlikely trio face danger, conspiracies, and plenty of laughs.
Alongside the leads, the film also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles. Heads of State premieres worldwide on July 2 on Prime Video.
