Jennifer Lawrence Reveals She Fed Robert Pattinson Trash—And He Loved It
The Oscar winner hilariously recalls a chaotic pajama night turned surprise visit from her Die, My Love co-star, calling Pattinson “one of the girls” and confessing a quirky, maternal bond.
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence recently recounted a bizarre yet comical moment involving her "Die, My Love" co-star Robert Pattinson, admitting that she once served him good straight out of her garbage bin and he devoured it.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, she disclosed, “I had my girlfriends over. We were in our pajamas. We were watching Little Women. It was December." The tranquility of the evening was disrupted when Pattinson called her, saying he had just wrapped a shoot nearby, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
“He was like, ‘Hey, I just wrapped something like a block away from you,'” she recounted. “And I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ ‘Cause Rob is one of the girls. He wants to gossip. He just is one of the gals. So I was like, ‘Come over!'”
Before proceeding with her story, The Hunger Games alum noted that she treats the Twilight star “like my daughter,” because she doesn’t fully trust that he takes care of himself.
“He’s a great father, he’s a professional, he shows up on time, but I wouldn’t trust that he, like, put a coat on. He brings out a very maternal [side in me],” she quipped. Pattinson shares a daughter with fiancée Suki Waterhouse.
Once the "Mickey 17" actor got to Lawrence’s house, she said he had one request.
“He comes in, and I give him a hug, and he’s like, ‘You have any food? I’m so hungry.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, come in, come in,'” the No Hard Feelings actress continued. However, she started to panic because the only food she had was actually already in the garbage.
Even after finishing, he remained hungry, leading Lawrence to sleepishly admit that the remaining food was also from the trash, a detail that apparently failed to deter him.
Lawrence laughingly remarked that she often feels a protective, almost maternal instinct toward Pattison, calling him one of those rare friends who manages to be both self-sufficient and delightfully absent-minded.
“Sounds like the ideal house guest,” Norton joked in response.
Lawrence and Pattinson reunite on screen in "Die, My Love", slated for release on November 7.
