Kingdom Day 4 Worldwide Box Office Collection: Vijay Deverakonda’s Film Off to a Strong Start
Kingdom worldwide box office collection day 4: Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Vijay Deverakonda-led film hit theaters last Thursday, receiving mixed reviews.
Gowtam Tinnanuri’s Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, Bhagyashri Borse, and Venkitesh, hit theaters last Thursday. By the end of its first weekend, the movie has outperformed some of Vijay’s recent releases.
According to the producers, Sithara Entertainments, Kingdom raked in a solid ₹82 crore worldwide in just four days. They shared the news on Monday, saying, “#KINGDOM continues to reign supreme. #BoxOfficeBlockbusterKingdom strikes ₹82 Cr+ Worldwide Gross in 4 Days & Holding strong across all centres even today.”
Though the film hasn’t yet crossed the ₹100 crore milestone, these numbers are impressive compared to Vijay’s previous films. For instance, Liger (2022) earned ₹56.18 crore in its entire run, Kushi (2023) collected ₹76 crore worldwide, and The Family Star (2024) made ₹30.65 crore. Vijay’s biggest hit remains Geetha Govindam (2018), which earned ₹130 crore. It remains to be seen if Kingdom can surpass that benchmark.
**What’s Kingdom About?**
The film follows Suri (Vijay), a police constable who goes undercover in Sri Lanka to take down a dangerous cartel, all while searching for his long-lost brother Siva (Satyadev). Along the way, he confronts Murugan (Venkitesh), the cartel leader, and teams up with Dr. Madhu (Bhagyashri), another undercover agent. The story ends on a cliffhanger, setting the stage for a sequel.
Speaking to the press after the release, Vijay revealed that director Gowtam Tinnanuri had shot many additional scenes that didn’t make the final cut. “There were some shots in the teaser and trailer that didn’t make it to the film because including them would have made the first half too heavy,” he explained.
All in all, Kingdom is off to a promising start, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how far it will go at the box office.
