New CCTV Footage Links Suspects to Firing Outside Disha Patani’s Bareilly Home
The newly surfaced footage from September 9 shows Arun, Vijay, Nakul, and a minor arriving at a petrol pump in Bareilly on two motorcycles.
A fresh CCTV video has surfaced in the investigation into the recent firing outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The footage, dated September 9 and accessed by News18, shows four suspects refuelling their bikes at a petrol pump in Bareilly, just days before the attack.
The suspects — identified as Arun, Vijay, Nakul, and a minor — are seen arriving on two motorcycles. One of the bikes, a white Apache, has drawn particular attention. Investigators believe it matches the motorcycle recovered from the site of a police encounter in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City, where two of the accused were later killed.
Earlier, police had retrieved CCTV footage from outside Patani’s residence, which captured two men on a motorbike circling the area suspiciously. One man, wearing a blue t-shirt and helmet, was riding the bike, while the pillion rider — seen without a helmet — got off and fired multiple rounds at the side fencing of the house before fleeing. The incident occurred around 3:30 am on September 12.
Following the attack, one of the shooters was identified as Ravinder through surveillance footage. Both Ravinder and Arun were later killed in a gunfight with police in Ghaziabad on Wednesday evening after they opened fire on officers.
The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), in coordination with Delhi and Haryana Police, tracked the suspects' movements across Bareilly and neighbouring districts. A breakthrough came early Wednesday morning when investigators discovered the accused had reached Ghaziabad and were planning to escape. A joint operation was launched, and by afternoon, the suspects were intercepted near Tronica City.
“In a joint operation by Delhi Police Special Cell, UP STF, and Haryana STF, two active members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang were neutralized in a shootout near Tronica City,” confirmed Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah. “Both were directly involved in the firing outside Disha Patani’s residence.”
Shortly after the firing incident, a social media handle linked to Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the attack, sparking further concerns over cross-border criminal networks targeting high-profile individuals in India.
