Pankaj Tripathi Responds to Hera Pheri 3 Casting Rumors: “I Am Not the Right Person”

After Paresh Rawal's exit from Hera Pheri 3 was announced, speculations on who could replace him in the iconic role of Babu Bhaiya rise. Actor Pankaj Tripathi's name quickly surfaced for his powerful performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur. But would he take on the role? Pankaj recently addressed the rumors in an interview.

Pankaj was asked about the buzz on social media suggesting he should replace Paresh Rawal in Hera Pheri 3, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he responded with humility, saying, “I’ve heard about it too, but I don’t believe in it. Paresh ji is an amazing actor, and I am nothing compared to him. I respect him deeply, and I don’t think I am the right person for the role.”

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3 has been surrounded by controversy. Recently, reports revealed that Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal, claiming ₹25 crores in damages for breaching a contract after leaving the film.

However, Paresh clarified his departure on social media, writing, “I want to make it clear that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. There are no disagreements with the filmmaker. I have immense respect and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan, the director.”

While Hera Pheri 3 may not be in the cards for Pankaj, he has exciting projects lined up. The actor will be seen next in Criminal Justice 4, alongside a stellar ensemble cast that includes Barkha Singh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, and more. The show is set to stream on JioHotstar starting May 29.
