Mohit Suri’s romantic musical Saiyaara, starring debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has crossed a major milestone at the box office, earning over ₹500 crore globally in just 18 days.

The film's production house, Yash Raj Films (YRF), shared the news on Instagram, writing, "#Saiyaara found a home in your hearts – and we couldn't be more thankful."

According to YRF, Saiyaara has collected ₹507 crore worldwide so far, with ₹308 crore net and ₹376 crore gross in India, and another ₹131 crore from overseas markets.

YRF CEO and producer Akshaye Widhani said in a statement, “It’s deeply encouraging to see young audiences lead the way in embracing this film, disproving doubts about their theatrical participation. Thank you to every viewer, everywhere, for making Saiyaara the defining love story of our time.”

Trade portal Sacnilk reported slightly lower numbers, estimating ₹302.10 crore net and ₹362.50 crore gross from India, with a total of ₹492.50 crore worldwide. But the production house maintains its 18-day total at ₹507 crore.

With this, Saiyaara has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of the year, behind only Chhaava (₹807.91 crore), and has surpassed the lifetime global collections of War (₹471 crore) and Dunki (₹454 crore).

Saiyaara tells the story of Krish Kapur (Ahaan Panday), a hot-headed musician chasing fame, who finds unexpected inspiration in the poetry of Vaani (Aneet Padda), a quiet journalist healing from heartbreak. He turns her words into hit songs, and a love story unfolds—one tested by fate and personal choices.

The film’s massive success marks a breakthrough for both its lead stars and director Mohit Suri, who returns to the romantic musical genre with a bang.
