The much-anticipated trailer of Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 was officially released on Monday, with stars Hrithik Roshan, Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Sivakarthikeyan joining in to launch the trailer of Rishab Shetty’s upcoming film. Serving as a prequel to the critically acclaimed 2022 hit Kantara, the film delves deeper into the rich folklore and divine traditions that captivated audiences in the original.

The trailer opens with a young Shiva questioning the mysterious disappearance of his father during a sacred Daiva Kola (also known as Bhuta Kola) ritual deep in the forest. The narrative then shifts to an ancestral tale, revealing how his forefathers resisted oppression with the aid of divine forces. Actor Gulshan Devaiah is introduced as a ruthless prince, while Rukmini Vasanth plays a princess who becomes romantically entangled with Shiva’s ancestor—setting off a chain of events that challenges the existing power structure. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene of Rishab Shetty’s character appearing to be possessed by the spirit of the Daiva for the very first time, setting the stage for an intense and emotionally charged saga.

Fans were quick to express their excitement, flooding the comment sections with praise. “Amazing trailer,” wrote one user, while another added, “I have goosebumps.” A particularly enthusiastic fan declared, “Another ₹1000 crore movie from Kannada industry… Jai Kantara, Jai Karnataka!” Others predicted awards in the film's future, with one comment reading, “Kantara – National Award, Kantara 1 – Oscar Award.” Support for Rishab Shetty and the entire team poured in, with many wishing the filmmaker success for his bold and culturally rooted storytelling.
