India to Host 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit on October 13-14, 2023
New Delhi, India - India will host the 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit (P-20 Summit) on October 13-14, 2023, at the newly constructed India International Convention and Expo Center (IICC) in Yashobhumi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 13 and will conclude with a closing speech by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on October 14.
The P-20 Summit is a forum for the speakers of the parliaments of G20 countries to discuss global issues and coordinate their efforts to address them. The theme of the 9th P-20 Summit is "Parliaments for One Earth, One Family, One Future," which is inspired by the ancient Indian philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam."
In addition to the speakers of G20 countries, the summit will also be attended by speakers from invited countries. The Pan-African Parliament will be attending the P-20 Summit in India for the first time.
