12 Journalists Honored at Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025 in Delhi
Winners receive Rs 11,000 each across categories including digital, rural, and women's journalism;

Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025 was successfully organized on Friday, 27 June 2025 under the aegis of Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra. 12 journalists were honored in various categories in this felicitation ceremony organized at Speaker Hall Annexe, Constitution Club.
Subhi Vishwakarma, Senior Correspondent, Organizer for Outstanding Young Journalist; Smriti Rastogi, Political Editor, Dainik Jagran Digital for Outstanding Stree Sarokar / Women's Sensitivity Journalism; Amit Kumar, Correspondent, Punjab Kesari for Outstanding Innovative Journalist; Sanjeev Gupta, Chief Correspondent, Dainik Jagran for Outstanding Rural / Environmental Journalism; Parmanand Khaitan, Editor NMF News for Outstanding Content Creator (YouTube), Dr. Monica Verma, Assistant Professor NECU for Outstanding Content Creator (X), Kiran Yadav for Outstanding Content Creator (Instagram), Shweta Singh, Republic Shankhnaad for Outstanding Adventure Journalist, Anupam Kumar Singh, Associate Editor, Op India for Outstanding Digital Journalist; Prof Niranjan Kumar, Dean Planning, Delhi University was awarded the Outstanding Columnist, Rajesh Kumar Thakur, Senior Associate Editor, The New Indian Express was awarded the Outstanding Journalist Print and Amarendra Gupta, Senior Correspondent, DD News was awarded the Outstanding Journalist TV Devrishi Narad Samman. All of them were honored with certificates, mementoes, shawls and a cheque of Rs 11,000/-.
Entries were invited in 12 categories through online medium by Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra for Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025. An esteemed jury was constituted to select the journalists to be honored after studying the entries received in these categories. The jury comprised Mr. Ashutosh Jha, National Editor, Dainik Jagran; Mrs. Priya Kumar, Director General, DD News; Mr. Naveen Kapoor, National Editor, ANI; Mr. Anand Narasimhan, Senior Managing Editor, Network 18; Mr. Rahul Roshan, CEO OpIndia and Mr. Harish Chandra Barnwal, Social Media Influencer and Vice President, Blue Craft were present.
In the Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman Samaroh 2024, Shri Pradeep Joshi, All India Co-Promotion Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, attended as the keynote speaker and Shri Navneet Kumar Sehgal, President of Prasar Bharati, attended as the chief guest.
Addressing the felicitation ceremony, the chief guest, Shri Navneet Kumar Sehgal, President of Prasar Bharati, said that journalists should avoid fake news. He requested the journalists to show the news based on true, accurate and facts so that the trust of the society remains intact.
Addressing the Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman Samaroh 2025, the keynote speaker, Shri Pradeep Joshi, All India Co-Promotion Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, said that journalists are descendants of the Narad clan. Journalists should talk about public interest. He said that today India is moving towards becoming Vishwa Guru by 2047, only journalists can take such meaningful news to the society. He said that only journalists can take awareness topics to the country and the world for building the society. Only journalists can become the true charioteer of the glorious journey of India's development.
Addressing the program, Delhi Province Karyavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Shri Anil Gupta said that he feels proud to honor journalists in the centenary year of the Sangh. He said that on 2 October Vijayadashami, the Sangh will turn 100 years old. The first program of the centenary year will be held on 26, 27 and 28 August in Vigyan Bhavan in the form of a lecture series by revered Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji. He told that there is a plan for a large house to house contact in Delhi. He also told that the society will organize Hindu conferences in all the settlements of Delhi.
Addressing the program, the Chairman of the Jury and National Editor of Dainik Jagran, Shri Ashutosh Jha informed about the selection process of the journalists honored in the Devrishi Narad Patrakar Samman 2025.
Many dignitaries, a large number of media personnel, editors, senior journalists and social media influencers attended the program.
