25 Lakh Women Participate in 'Mahila Samvad' Program Across 12,500 Locations in Bihar

Women Share Aspirations for Healthcare, Education and Safety Improvements as Government Initiative Targets Reaching 2 Crore Participants at 70,000 Sites;

25 Lakh Women Participate in Mahila Samvad Program Across 12,500 Locations in Bihar

On the 12th day of the 'Mahila Samvad' program being organized in Bihar, programs have been organized at more than 12 thousand 500 places in 534 blocks. So far, about 25 lakh rural women have participated in it. Mahila Samvad program is a unique medium of direct communication of women with the government. In this, information about schemes related to women empowerment is shared with women. At the same time, the beneficiaries of these schemes are sharing their experiences with other women and girls.

Through this program in rural areas, women are openly putting their dreams and aspirations on the platform. Through this platform, women are highlighting their problems. At the same time, they are also looking for possibilities of development. Along with this, women are directly conveying their expectations and requirements to the government.

Different activities are included in the Mahila Samvad program

During the program, 3 films based on the success of public welfare schemes are shown on the digital screen of the Mahila Samvad awareness vehicle. In the films, schemes like Women Reservation, Bihar Rural Livelihood Promotion Committee (Jeevika), De-Addiction Campaign, Child Marriage, Chief Minister's Merit Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister's Girl's Dress Scheme, Chief Minister's Girl's Cycle Scheme, Bihar Student Credit Card, Civil Service Promotion Scheme, Sustainable Livelihood Scheme, Lakshmi Bai Social Security Pension Scheme, One Stop Center, Women Helpline etc. implemented by the state government were shown. Leaflets were distributed to make women aware. Apart from this, a letter addressed to the mothers/sisters of the state by the Chief Minister was also distributed among the women.

Demands of women for the benefit of women society

Half the population has played a big role in the development of Bihar. At the same time, they are also keeping many such demands, which can make the path of women empowerment easy. In this program, women are also listing their wishes and aspirations for the development of their village.

The program is being organized at more than 70,000 places

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the 'Mahila Samvad' program by pressing the button in Patna on April 18, 2025. Through this program, continuous public welfare work is being done on the principles of development with resolve under the guidance of the Chief Minister across the state. It is to be organized at more than 70,000 places in the state, in which more than 2 crore women will participate.

Expectations expressed by women in Mahila Samvad program

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is continuously working for women empowerment. He is also making them self-reliant. In such a situation, the Mahila Samvad program is also proving to be very beneficial for women. During the dialogue program, women are prominently keeping the development oriented works related to health services, establishment of training centers for skill development, development of infrastructure, increase in pension amount, development of higher education, construction of village organization building of Jeevika, sewing house in every Panchayat, Mahila police station for women's safety, improvement in traffic system, community toilets in public places, community marriage hall, Mahila bank, pink auto service, playground and park, construction of Panchayat level library, sales center/ market for the products produced locally by women etc. as their aspirations and expectations.
