Today, on 15th May 2025, an in-depth review meeting of various schemes was held with the headquarters and district level officials of the Directorate of Cow Development, Bihar, Patna under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Bihar, Patna, Dr. N. Vijayalakshmi.

In the meeting, the status of implementation of departmental programs including "Samagra Cow Development Scheme", "Desi Cow Farming Promotion Scheme" and "Pashu Bima Yojana" was discussed in detail.

For the progress of the schemes, Dr. Vijayalakshmi directed the concerned officials to take concrete steps for the speedy achievement of the target. She strictly instructed all the officers to ensure timely implementation, to deliver effective benefits of the schemes to the beneficiaries and to complete the departmental goals on priority basis.

The Additional Chief Secretary said that these schemes of the state government are linked to the economic prosperity of the livestock farmers. He emphasized on establishing direct communication with the livestock farmers and informing them about the utility and benefits of animal insurance. The officers were also instructed to prepare a concrete strategy to make the cattle rearers aware about the insurance and to make the training programs reach the people.

Director (Cows) Shri Kedar Nath Singh, Joint Director (Headquarters), all regional Joint Directors (Cows) and all District Cow Development Officers were present in the meeting. All the officers gave information about the progress made so far under the schemes and the future action plan.
