Admiral Tripathi Praises Indian Navy’s Operational Excellence at Commanders’ Conference 2025
Lauding success of Operation Sindoor, Navy Chief reaffirms commitment to a combat-ready and Aatmanirbhar force by 2047, with focus on joint operations, technology integration, and regional maritime security.
Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi has lauded the collective dedication, professionalism and sustained commitment of Team Navy in ensuring operational excellence and combat readiness.
Addressing the second edition of Indian Navy's biannual Commanders' Conference 2025, which commenced yesterday, the CNS commended the outstanding performance displayed during Operation Sindoor, describing it as a source of pride for the nation.
Highlighting the prevailing geostrategic environment, Admiral Tripathi underscored the Navy's role in safeguarding national maritime interests through enhanced preparedness, adaptability and proactive engagement in the region.
Reaffirming the Indian Navy's status as a "combat ready force", the CNS lauded the conduct of multiple successful operational deployments and seamless execution of joint missions. He noted significant capability accretions and procurements that have further strengthened the Navy's operational potential.
Emphasising the Navy's role as a "Credible Force" and the preferred security partner in the Indian Ocean Region, the navy Chief highlighted initiatives such as the deployment of IOS Sagar and the conduct of AIKEYME, all under the overarching vision of MAHASAGAR.
As a "cohesive force", he appreciated the ongoing efforts towards workforce induction, improved accommodation, enhanced physical fitness, and overall well-being of personnel.
He also emphasised steady strides in technology induction, success of IDEX initiatives and the continued drive towards a fully Aatmanirbhar Navy by 2047, reinforcing the vision of a future ready force.
Admiral Tripathi reiterated focus on the seven key areas - warfighting and combat efficiency, force levels and capacity development, fleet maintenance and operational logistics, innovation and integration of new technologies, balanced workforce development, operational and organisational agility and synergy with national agencies and stakeholders.
Moreover, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, during his address, on the opening day, lauded the Navy's dominant role in tackling challenges across the Indian Ocean Region and emphasised the importance of synergy, joint planning and integrated execution of operations.
He also highlighted the need to enhance focus on joint air operations, interoperability and seamless integration across the Services to strengthen national security.
The three-day second edition of Indian Navy's biannual Commanders' Conference 2025 commenced yesterday. The conference assumes greater significance in the backdrop of 'Operation Sindoor' and the Navy's high tempo of operations and combat preparedness.
The Navy's focus on enhancing combat capabilities, interoperability and joint Operations with Indian Army, IAF, and ICG underscores its resolve to deter emerging threats and showcase maritime prowess in the IOR and Indo-Pacific.
During the three-day conference, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Cabinet Secretary will address Naval Commanders, providing insights on broader national interests and the vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.
