Launching a fierce attack on the RJD-Congress Grand Alliance, accusing it of planning for an “infiltrator corridor,” promoting terrorism, infiltration, Naxalism and Jungle Raj, the union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday alleged that Congress and RJD governments in the past “nurtured terrorism and dreamt of creating a Red Corridor of Naxalites extending from Kathmandu in Nepal to central India.”

Addressing an election rally in Sasaram, he cautioned voters against what he called the “infiltrator corridor” being planned by the RJD-Congress Grand Alliance, alleging that the opposition parties aim to drag the state back into the dark era of terrorism, Naxalism, and jungle raj. He said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) works for peace, development and security, while the opposition seeks to promote terrorism, infiltration and Naxalism and drag the state back into the dark era of jungle raj.

Shah said that during the rule of Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Congress and RJD governments “never acted against terrorists and Naxalites.” He alleged that they dreamt of forming a Red Corridor and giving protection to infiltrators. Shah thundered that for 40 years, they sowed the seeds of Naxalism and gave shelter to terrorists, while the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi works only for the development, peace, and prosperity of Bihar and the nation.

“They want to create an infiltrator corridor, while Narendra Modi is building industrial corridors to boost employment and investment,” Shah said, adding that the opposition’s agenda would push Bihar back into chaos. Shah urged voters to remain vigilant, claiming that the opposition alliance wants to turn Bihar into a safe haven for infiltrators and extremists, while the NDA is working on development projects to create employment and ensure security.

“The NDA works for development, but the Grand Alliance is determined to push Bihar into infiltration, terrorism, Naxalism, and jungle raj,” Shah said.

The Home Minister said that Rahul Gandhi and Tejaswi Yadav’s recent rallies were “not for the welfare of farmers, Dalits, or backward classes,” but to protect infiltrators. “Infiltrators are taking jobs meant for youth and ration meant for the poor. They are a threat to India’s security,” he said, asserting that Bihar would be cleansed of every infiltrator under the NDA’s rule.

Shah said that regions like Aurangabad, Sasaram, and Gaya once suffered under Naxal dominance for decades. He alleged that the Congress RJD government conspired of connecting Nepal’s Kathmandu to the Red Corridor, but under Narendra Modi, Bihar has been freed from Naxal violence. Shah added that the entire country would be free from Naxalism by March 31.

Recalling past terror incidents, Shah said, “When terrorists attacked during Sonia-Manmohan-Lalu’s time, no action was taken. But under Modi, India gave a befitting reply like surgical strike after Uri, air strike after Pulwama, and Operation Sindoor after Pahalgam.” He declared, “If terrorists fire bullets in the future, we will respond with shells.”

Shah announced that a Defence Corridor and Ordnance Factory would soon be set up in Bihar, saying, “The shells that will rain on Pakistan will be made here in Bihar and Sasaram.” He highlighted several NDA development initiatives, including the Rs 3,712 crore Patna–Sasaram–Ara Road, a new medical college in Rohtas, and Rs 55 crore hospital in Sasaram. He also said Sonachur rice would soon get a GI tag, benefitting local farmers, and that the famous Son fish would be marketed globally under government support.

The Home Minister said that Jeevika Didis (women’s self-help groups) have received Rs 10,000 each from the government, which RJD leaders are demanding to be withdrawn. “Tell Lalu clearly that not even their three generations can take away this Rs 10,000. Modi and Nitish will put Rsn2 lakh more into their accounts,” he said.

He also said that 85.35 lakh farmers in Bihar had benefited from PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, with Rs 29,000 crore transferred so far. “If the NDA returns to power, the annual amount will be increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000,” he announced.

Highlighting religious projects, Shah said, “Ayodhya now has a grand Ram Temple after 550 years, and Bihar’s Sitamarhi will soon have a magnificent Sita Temple worth Rs 850 crore. On the day of the temple’s consecration, a Vande Bharat Express will start between Sitamarhi and Ayodhya.”

Shah accused the Congress of humiliating Jagjivan Ram, saying, “Congress never let him become Prime Minister.” He asserted that the Modi government has given dignity to Dalits, Mallas, Kevats, Noniyas, and other marginalized sections, promising Rs 10 lakh under skill development schemes in the next five years.

He accused RJD and Congress of “dynastic ambitions,” saying, “Lalu wants his son to become Chief Minister, Sonia wants her son to become Prime Minister but there is no vacancy. Nitish Kumar is Bihar’s CM and Modi is India’s PM.”

Calling the opposition a “Mahathagbandhan (Grand Alliance of cheaters),” Shah said they were divided within, while the NDA was united “like the five Pandavas.” He claimed that the results of the first phase of Bihar polls had already made it clear that “the NDA will return to power with a massive majority.

“The people of Bihar have rejected jungle raj forever, he said exhorting the people to support Modi and Nitish to make Bihar a fully developed state.”
