The Bihar Government has decided to appoint 8093 clerks in every panchayat for the execution and reporting of the government schemes across the state.

Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, S. Siddharth told news persons here on Tuesday that a proposal related to it was approved in the Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

He said the appointment would be made soon, and their posting would be done either in the Panchayat Bhavan or other Panchayat-level offices.

He said that the newly appointed clerks will be responsible for the execution of the Panchayat level scheme and their proper reporting.

Siddharth said that in addition to this, 14 new posts have been created in the newly constituted marketing directorate.

He said that 21600 youth would be trained for modern employment-oriented skills from next year at the mega skill centre.

The selected agencies would also constitute placement cells for employment of the trained youth, he said, and informed that the entire project cost is of Rs 280 crore 87 lakh and the project would continue for the next 5 years.
