The newly appointed chairman of Bihar State Child Labor Commission, Ashok Kumar, announced to organize an action planning meeting in the first week of July. In this, a concrete strategy will be decided for the elimination of child labor. He said that making Bihar child labor free is a big challenge. But this is possible only when the government, society, family and administrative system work together in coordination. He especially emphasized the role of the family and the importance of public awareness campaign.

After the reorganization of Bihar State Child Labor Commission, an important introductory meeting was organized on Tuesday in the capital's Niyojan Bhawan under the chairmanship of the newly appointed chairman Ashok Kumar. Many public representatives and members of the commission including Vice President of the Commission Arvind Kumar Singh, Secretary-cum-Labor Commissioner Rajesh Bharti were present in the meeting. On this occasion, Legislative Assembly member Shreyasi Singh, Legislative Council member Ram Vilas Kamat, Anil Kumar and Ravindra Prasad Singh also registered their presence and expressed their support for the objectives of the commission. Commission members Sushil Kumar and Shaukat Ali were also present in this introductory meeting.

Vice President Arvind Kumar Singh also stressed on coordination with all departments, educationists, social workers and said that it is necessary to make family members aware along with publicity at all levels. Bihar can be made child labour free only with the participation of all of us. Secretary-cum-Labor Commissioner, Rajesh Bharti, while highlighting the achievements of the Bihar government in the meeting, said that Bihar is the first state in the country where the Child Labor Tracking System has been implemented. Along with this, Bihar is also the first state in the country to give financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to each child laborer freed from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, which shows the sensitivity and commitment of the state government. All the members present in the meeting talked about giving priority to the rehabilitation, education, health and social inclusion of child laborers. In this first meeting, the outline of the future work of the commission was made, and a resolution was taken to move it on time.
