Bihar Govt to Provide Over 12 Lakh Govt Jobs, Exceeding 'Saat Nischay' Target
CM Nitish Kumar directs mission mode push to complete remaining appointments within a year under good governance program
Under the Good Governance Program 2020-25, under Saat Nischay-2, implemented from 15.12.2020, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar had set a target of providing 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh employment. In this regard, the Chief Minister has directed to complete the work of providing the remaining jobs and employment in mission mode by preparing an action plan to achieve the target in the next one year by holding a meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers of the concerned departments, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary of the concerned departments. So far, 5 lakh 16 thousand people have been given government jobs. Apart from this, the process for appointment related to 1 lakh 99 thousand government jobs has been completed. The target has been set to distribute appointment letters within the next three months.
Requisition for 2 lakh 11 thousand new appointments has been sent to various commissions making appointments. Apart from this, requisition for 2 lakh 34 thousand vacancies will be sent to various commissions in the next one month. Also, there is an estimate of 72 thousand more vacancies for appointment in the coming year, the requisition of which will be sent next year.
It is noteworthy that 5 lakh 16 thousand appointments have been made under Saat Nishchay-2. Apart from this, 1 lakh 99 thousand appointment letters are ready for distribution. Also, appointment process is underway against 5 lakh 17 thousand vacancies i.e. (5 lakh 16 thousand + 1 lakh 99 thousand + 5 lakh 17 thousand) A target of giving more than 12 lakh government jobs has been set by the year 2024-25. Thus, crossing the target of giving 10 lakh government jobs set under the Chief Minister's Saat Nishchay 2, more than 12 lakh people will be given government jobs by the year 2024-25.
A target of giving 10 lakh jobs was set under Saat Nishchay -2. So far, more than 22 lakh jobs have been created under Saat Nishchay-2 and more than 11 lakh employment opportunities will be created in the coming one year.
The Chief Minister has directed to make a strict law to ensure complete transparency in the examinations conducted for recruitment and to prevent any kind of irregularity and leakage of question papers in the examination and has said that a proposal related to this should be brought in the upcoming session of the Vidhan Sabha.
