The Bihar government has given a big relief to the teachers of the state by providing them the facility of voluntary transfer. According to the instructions issued by the Education Department, now teachers will be able to complete the process of their transfer themselves through the e-Shikshak Kosh portal.

Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, Dr. S. Siddharth has issued a letter to all the district education officials in this regard and has written that teachers have been transferred in various phases, but despite being posted at a distance of 30 kilometers from a distance of 400 kilometers, they are not satisfied, so complaints are being lodged at various levels.

The school from which the teachers have been transferred, but no teacher has been posted there yet, in such a situation the educational work is getting affected. Due to the transfer, the challenge of filling the vacant posts in the schools has arisen, so it has been decided that teachers of all levels should be given a chance to select the school themselves by transferring themselves.

Teachers of the same type will be able to form their own group of two or more maximum 10 teachers and transfer to those schools. Teachers of all groups will be of the same category and mutual posting will be possible between their currently posted schools.

According to the instructions of the Education Department, teachers who want transfer can login to e-Shiksha Kosh and see the list of teachers willing to transfer in their district. They will also be able to see the list of the entire Panchayat/Block/Subdivision/District willing to transfer in their subject and category. In this process, a teacher can select up to 10 teachers from two or more subordinates who are willing to be transferred mutually. The mobile number of the concerned teachers will be obtained through OTP, by contacting whom they will be able to select their desired school.

The application for transfer will be given through e-Shiksha Kosh. The transfer order will be issued within three days of verification through OTP in e-Shiksha Kosh. It will be mandatory to join the selected school within seven days of the transfer order being issued. If even a single teacher in the entire group refuses to join, the transfer order of all the transferred teachers will be cancelled.

At present, this new system will not only provide convenience to teachers but will also help the education department in dealing with the challenge of vacant posts in schools
