Bihar ranks third in the country in the progress of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. So far, 20 lakh 50 thousand needy people have benefited from this scheme. So far, more than 26 hundred crores have been spent on this.

1173 hospitals listed under Ayushman Bharat Yojana

Health Minister Mangal Pandey said this on Tuesday during the inauguration of a workshop organized at Bapu Tower in Patna. He had come to inaugurate the orientation cum workshop of 68 newly listed private hospitals under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana. He said that currently 1173 hospitals are listed under Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Bihar. These include 587 private and 586 government sector hospitals, in which the benefits of this scheme are being given to the poor and needy. He announced to start a three-day special campaign to make Ayushman cards in Bihar

Health Minister Mangal Pandey also said that in the last financial year, an amount of Rs 1000 crore was spent under the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the service of the poor people of Bihar. He announced to start a three-day special campaign to make Ayushman cards in Bihar and said that so far 3 crore 75 lakh Ayushman cards have been made in the state, so that maximum number of people can get its benefit, a three-day special campaign will be run at the village, panchayat and block level. This campaign will run from 26 to 28 May.

The Health Minister said that continuous efforts are being made to ensure that maximum number of people in the state get free and good health facilities. He also said that people should know in which hospitals and how they can get treatment under this scheme.

At the same time, Health Department Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said that it is very important to understand the moral aspect of this scheme. The government implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme so that financial problems do not affect the health of any person. Private hospitals have also been included in the list so that poor and needy people can get quality treatment, where people can be treated with Ayushman card. This scheme is a kind of Universal Health Insurance Scheme. In this, the role of hospitals becomes very important so that the poor person can get timely and proper treatment. He also expressed concern over the cases of fraud being done by some hospitals and said that this is a very serious matter. There is a strong system of fraud detection. Any poor patient comes to the hospital only under compulsion, so do not take advantage of his helplessness.

In the program, Bihar Health Security Committee Chief Executive Officer Shashank Shekhar Sinha said that the government wants to provide treatment facilities to all citizens without taking money. For this, it is necessary that the hospitals understand the scheme well and work honestly.

The objective of this state level workshop was to provide information to hospitals about new procedures, technical aspects and functioning related to the scheme. During the workshop, a presentation was shown, which explained how patients can get treatment under this scheme and which hospital they will have to go to. Along with this, complete information about the hospitals included in the scheme was also given.
