Bihar Receives 2,228 Applications for Tap Water Connections in Dalit Hamlets During Ambedkar Jayanti Campaign
State includes 865 applications in action plan while processing remaining 1,215 requests from 4.82 lakh families across 38 districts through 7,284 camps;

On the occasion of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti, a total of 2228 applications were received for the Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Nishchay Yojana by organizing camps for the construction of infrastructure in Dalit Tolas located in all 38 districts of the state. Out of which a total of 865 applications have been included in the action plan. While action on 1215 applications received is under process. Let us tell you that from Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti i.e. 14 April to 17 May, applications were sought for the Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Nishchay Yojana in this camp from 4,82,942 families living in Dalit Tolas located in all 38 districts of the state.
Applications were sought from the families left out under the Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal Yojana by organizing camps in Dalit Tolas. For this, a total of 7284 camps were organized in all 38 districts of the state. The highest number of 211 applications for this scheme were received from Darbhanga. Out of the 211 applications received, 130 have been included in the action plan. Process of action on the remaining applications is underway. Similarly, action has been started on 91 out of 197 applications in Siwan, 20 out of 128 in Muzaffarpur, 77 out of 107 in Kaimur, 53 out of 77 in Patna, 22 out of 103 in Rohtas, 03 out of 103 in Saran, 03 out of 119 in Sitamarhi and 12 out of 87 in Bhojpur.
