Bihar Startups Innovate with Virtual Jewelry Trials and Eco-Friendly Transport Under State Policy

Three ventures receive government grants totaling Rs 45 lakh as Startup Bihar registers 1,522 companies with Rs 62.50 crore total disbursement supporting innovation across the state;

Now you can buy jewelry from the comfort of your home instead of going to jewelry stores and standing in long queues. Aman Ranjan of Hajipur, Bihar has launched a software called 'Vaishans', in which you can now buy jewelry including trial from home.

About his startup, Aman said that to bring a revolution in online shopping, we have developed a virtual trial room experience, so that customers can try jewelry from their homes. Our platform provides personalized size recommendations, styling of outfits and jewelry, and highly accurate virtual fitting. During shopping, customers can try jewelry like rings, necklaces virtually and see how they will look on them. This reduces confusion and increases satisfaction.

On reaching the global level, he said that we have started expanding internationally and have now entered Dubai (UAE market) as well. Under the Startup Bihar policy of the Industry Department, they have received a total grant of Rs 10 lakh.

Along with this, Dr. Sadhana Kumari has started a startup called Ankuraam Robo to empower communities through technology and skill development. This company specializes in robotics and 3D printing and prepares women and youth for employment and entrepreneurship by training them. Along with this, it also manufactures eco-friendly educational and creative toys and puzzles to reduce mobile addiction. They have also received a grant of Rs 10 lakh under Startup Bihar.

Along with this, a team of three engineers Alok Ranjan (founder), Bharat Kumar Paliwal (co-founder), Kunal Kumar (co-founder) have started Python Motors Private Limited. The company manufactures eco-friendly and efficient transportation means like electric three-wheelers, electric ambulances and electric fish-carts. Their industry has received a grant of Rs 25 lakh from the government.

A holistic ecosystem has been created under Startup Bihar, which provides support to startups in all stages from their initial idea to business expansion. The increased participation of startups, especially youth, women and traditionally marginalized communities, is a sign of change in the socio-economic scenario of the State.

A total of 1522 startups have been registered so far. A total amount of ₹ 62.50 crore has been disbursed to the startups, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship across the State. An additional financial assistance of ₹ 13.30 lakh has been provided to women entrepreneurs, SC/ST entrepreneurs and acceleration support
