Bihar State Cooperative Bank Launches Gold Loan Scheme and Digital Payment Gateway
Minister Prem Kumar inaugurates services offering loans up to ₹5 lakh against gold jewelry with 9.5-10% interest rates;

Bihar's Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar launched two new gold loan schemes and digital payment gateway facilities of Bihar State Cooperative Bank at Bankipur branch in Patna.
Launch of Gold Loan Scheme and Payment Gateway
Under the Gold Loan Scheme, Bihar State Cooperative Bank will give loans ranging from Rs 20 thousand to Rs 5 lakh to its customers based on the valuation of their gold jewellery. The interest rate on the loan will be 9.5 percent to 10 percent. The period will be from one month to a maximum of 12 months. The period will be extended if the loan is repaid on time.
Gold loan cheque distributed
The loan amount will be decided on the basis of valuation of the jewellery. Also, proper insurance arrangements have been made for mortgaged jewellery. The loan period can be extended if the loan is repaid on time. Interested customers can avail the benefits of this scheme by contacting the nearest branch of Bihar State Cooperative Bank. On this occasion, gold loan cheques were distributed to five customers by the minister.
"Payment Gateway" facility also inaugurated
It is known that Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar also inaugurated the "Payment Gateway" facility of Bihar State Cooperative Bank. Under this facility, customers will get the facility of transaction through digital medium and the banking process will become more simple and transparent.

On this occasion, Cooperative Minister Dr. Prem Kumar addressed and said that cooperative banks are playing a leading role in the development of Bihar. On this occasion, information letters of various schemes were released.
On this occasion, the Cooperative Minister of Bihar appealed to the people of the state and said that by joining Bihar State Cooperative Banks, take advantage of all modern banking facilities safely and ensure their participation in the progress of the state.
What is Payment Gateway
It is worth noting that Payment Gateway is a digital service. Now customers will be able to make bank related payments digitally through UPI, debit card, credit card. This will make the transaction quick, safe and transparent. This service will also be useful for other government departments and schemes.
