Bihar Transport Commissioner Directs Insurance Companies to Clear Rs 85 Crore Pending Vehicle Accident Claims

There is a big news of relief for the vehicle accident victims in Bihar. State Transport Commissioner Mr. Naveen Kumar has directed the insurance companies to settle the pending insurance claim cases on time. This instruction was given in a meeting of the Secretary of Bihar Motor Vehicle Accident Tribunal and the representatives of the insurance companies. A claim order of Rs 85 crore, 38 lakh has been passed to the insurance companies in a total of 1016 cases by the Bihar Motor Vehicle Accident Tribunal. Rs 43.65 crore has been paid while settling 494 claims at the level of insurance companies.

The State Transport Commissioner has directed the Secretary of the Motor Vehicle Accident Tribunal that on the basis of the hearing held in the courts, the documents should be promptly updated on the portal by the concerned officer.
