The Directorate of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture is organizing “Mango Festival-2025” at Gyan Bhawan, Patna on 28-29 June. Various competitions including eat mango and get reward are being organized in this two-day program. Along with this, attractive prizes will also be given to the winning participants. During this, the exhibition for the common people will run from 10 am to 8 pm. Registration and entry in this is completely free.

The main attraction of this Mango Festival will be the display of various species of mango, discussion on marketing of mango and mango-made food items, availability of interesting mango-based food items, mango carving competition, mango eat reward competition for children of 5-10 years, painting competition for children of 4-8 classes, discussion on advanced cultivation of mango with latest technology. Cash prizes and citations will be given to the winners of the competitions to be held here.

Competition will be held in these categories for farmers

7 types of competitions will be organized for farmers in the festival. Whose categories will be early varieties, medieval varieties, late varieties, hybrid varieties, seedless mangoes, preserved products of mangoes made by domestic institutions and entrepreneurs, grafted mango plants and category prepared by veneer grafting.

The variety of mangoes present in Bihar can also be seen in this festival. In the exhibition to be held here, mangoes like Maldah, Jardalu, Gulabkhas, Jarda Bombay, Langra, Dussehri, Krishnabhog, Alphonso, Husneara, Benazir, Fazli, Sepia etc. found in Bihar can be seen.

The Horticulture Directorate of the Agriculture Department of the Government of Bihar has been organizing the Mango Festival for the past several years with the aim of promoting mango production and preservation.
