Bihar’s Youth Shine at 29th National Youth Festival in New Delhi
Young talents from the state excel in speech, folk singing, innovation and art at Bharat Mandapam, earning national recognition and praise for Bihar.
At the 29th National Youth Festival, the youth of Bihar have captured the attention of the entire nation with their exceptional talent. Held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the event witnessed four young participants from Bihar delivering outstanding performances across different disciplines, bringing pride to the state. Organized on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the festival featured selected outstanding youth from 36 states and Union Territories of the country.
In the speech competition organized under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Parth Kaushik from Bihar achieved a remarkable feat by securing second place at the national level.
In the folk song category, Mahima Maurya from Patna achieved a special distinction. Although the Bihar team could not collectively reach the finals, Mahima Maurya was selected for a special ten-member national singing ensemble chosen from across the country. This group performed “Vande Mataram” in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her performance on this historic platform was broadcast live on DD News, marking a proud moment for Bihar.
Similarly, under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Ayushi Arya from Patna was selected for a PPT presentation, where she presented her innovative ideas related to development before the Prime Minister.
Bihar also made a strong mark in the field of fine arts. In the painting competition, Deepak was selected, and his artwork was chosen to be presented as a gift to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.
Shri Pranav Kumar, Secretary, Department of Art and Culture, stated,
“The excellence and confidence with which Bihar’s youth have showcased their talent at the National Youth Festival is a matter of pride for the entire state. Their presentations before the Prime Minister prove that our youth have the capacity to lead the nation in cultural, intellectual, and innovative fields. The Bihar government will continue to provide opportunities and support to nurture such talent.”
Under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, 10 youths from each state were selected and evaluated through challenge-based and cultural tracks.
