Demanding speedy judicial investigation into the mysterious death of the popular artist Zubeen Garg and urging submission of a strong, watertight chargesheet, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam Pradesh, today organized a Nyay Yatra (Justice March) at Nalbari district. Thousands of party workers, supporters, and members of the public took part in the march led by state BJP President Dilip Saikia, who expressed deep faith and confidence in Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and the judiciary.

He thanked the Chief Minister and the State Government for every step taken since the unfortunate demise of the artist and expressed hope that the court would soon deliver justice. Criticizing certain opposition political parties, Saikia remarked that some are trying to use the death of the artist for political gains. He firmly stated that Zubeen Garg can never become a tool for political agendas and that such tendencies must be rejected.

The crowd echoed slogans like “Joy Zubeen, Pranor Zubeen”, “Moi-o Zubeen Onuragi, Amio Zubeen Onuragi” (“I am also a Zubeen fan, we all are Zubeen fans”), “Let the court deliver justice swiftly”, and “SIT must submit a watertight chargesheet immediately.” The Nyay Yatra witnessed participation from union Minister Pabitra Margherita, State Ministers Jayanta Malla Baruah and Chandramohan Patowary, among others. State BJP Spokesperson Jayanta Kumar Goswami informed that similar Nyay Yatras will be held tomorrow in Mangaldoi, on Friday in Dibrugarh and Cachar, and subsequently across all district headquarters of Assam with the participation of thousands of BJP workers and Zubeen fans.
