Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Thanks PM Modi for Rs 48,500 Crore Bihar Development Package at Bikramganj Rally

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar attended the inauguration, foundation stone laying and dedication program of development projects related to electricity, road, rail and education worth more than Rs 48 thousand 500 crore by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Bikramganj of Rohtas district today. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his address praised the work done by Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar for the development of Bihar and said that our goal is developed Bihar, developed country.

While addressing the public meeting in Bikramganj of Rohtas, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar said that it is a matter of great happiness that the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has come to Bikramganj of Rohtas district today. First of all, I welcome and congratulate the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Along with this, I congratulate the Honorable Governor of Bihar, Union Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers and Ministers of Bihar and all the people present in the program. On this occasion, the work that is going to be done by the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji includes the inauguration of two road projects and the inauguration of three rail projects and the laying of the foundation stone of four schemes, which include power generation, construction of roads and bridges. The total cost of all these is more than Rs 48 thousand 500 crores. Bihar will benefit greatly from the construction of these schemes. I congratulate him for this. The work you are going to do will benefit Bihar greatly, for this I thank the respected Prime Minister from the bottom of my heart.

The Chief Minister said that I express my gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for the decision to conduct caste census. This is a very important step. Earlier also we used to raise this demand. People of other parties are talking unnecessarily. People should remember all these things. He said that the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate road and rail projects. Along with this, he will lay the foundation stone of four power projects. Bihar will benefit greatly from these schemes. The governments before 24 November 2005 did not do any work. The JDU-BJP government has done a lot of work for the development of Bihar. Today so many women are visible, the earlier governments did not do any work for women. As soon as we came to power, we have worked for everyone. We are engaged in the development of Bihar and work is being done at a fast pace. From the very beginning, special attention was given to the field of education and health. Roads and bridges were constructed on a large scale. We gave 50 percent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj system and municipal elections. At least 35 percent reservation was given to women in jobs.

Now women have started studying a lot and have started moving ahead. Many good works are being done for women.

The Chief Minister said that under Saat Nishchay-1, we worked to provide electricity to every house, tap water to every house, construction of paved streets and drains, toilets to every house and also connected the toll plazas with paved roads. Recently, some new settlements and some new houses are being built, we are working on them too and have decided that all the remaining work will be completed by June this year. Work is also going on at a fast pace on all the schemes under Saat Nischay 2. Government jobs and employment are being provided to the youth. We have gone everywhere at the end of last year and in January-February of this year. In that, we saw that there is no deficiency or any problem anywhere. After that, we got approval from the cabinet for 430 new schemes with an expenditure of Rs 50 thousand crore and work has started on it. Many big works are being done by the honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the development of Bihar. The new government formed after the elections also announced financial assistance for the development of Bihar in the budget of July 2024. In the Union Budget of February 2025, Makhana Board in Bihar, establishment of airport, financial assistance for Western Koshi Canal etc. were announced. Earlier Khelo India Youth Games were organized in 6 states. Now this time it has been organized in Bihar as well. It is a matter of great happiness. Honorable Prime Minister has worked for the whole country, Bihar is also getting a lot of benefit. We express our gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister and thank him very much.
