Chirag Paswan Alleges Bomb Plot Against Him, Calls It a Political Conspiracy

Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan made a sensational claim during a rally in Bihar’s Munger district on Saturday, alleging that his opponents were conspiring to kill him by blowing him up with a bomb.
Speaking ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, Paswan accused his political rivals of orchestrating the threat in response to his growing influence. "There have been many attempts to break me, but now they’ve hatched a new conspiracy. They want to blow me up with a bomb," he declared.
Undeterred, Paswan said he cannot be intimidated. “They forget that I am a tiger’s cub—sher ka beta. I don’t know how to bow down. It’s impossible to scare me,” he told the crowd.
The statement came just a week after an LJP (Ram Vilas) leader said Chirag had received a death threat on social media. A police complaint was later filed at the cyber police station in Patna by the party’s chief spokesperson, Rajesh Kumar Bhatt, against an Instagram user who allegedly threatened to blow up the MP.
Though the FIR did not name any individual or political party, the party claimed on social media that the person behind the threat was an RJD supporter.
At the Munger rally, Paswan also lashed out at his estranged uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras and took a veiled swipe at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. He accused them of promoting caste-based politics and misleading people with false promises ahead of the elections.
“Some people are rattled by my slogan—‘Bihar First, Bihari First’—because it challenges their politics of caste and division. These are the same people who dragged Bihar into poverty and backwardness when they were in power,” he said.
Reacting to the dramatic allegation, a senior LJP (RV) leader, speaking anonymously, said Paswan may have been referring to the recent FIR filed over the Instagram threat. “It’s possible he used it for rhetorical impact,” the leader told PTI.
The remark has added fresh fuel to an already heated political atmosphere in Bihar, where the battle lines are being drawn ahead of the state elections.
