CM Nitish Kumar Distributes Appointment Letters to 59,028 Special Teachers in Bihar
Government Strengthens Education Sector with Large-Scale Teacher Recruitment, Pledges Continued Reforms
Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar today provided appointment letters to 59 thousand 28 special teachers in 'Samvad' located in the Chief Minister's Secretariat. This includes 55 thousand 845 primary teachers, 2532 secondary teachers and 651 higher secondary teachers. The Chief Minister symbolically provided appointment letters to Mrs. Neelam Kumari, Mr. Rustam Ali, Mrs. Neelu Rai, Mr. Achyut Kumar and Mr. Deepak Kumar Tiwari.
Addressing the program on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that he congratulates and wishes the special teachers who have been provided appointment letters today. All of you should be happy and keep smiling and keep discharging your responsibilities in a better way. He said that when we got the opportunity to work here, many steps were taken for improvement in the field of education. Due to acute shortage of teachers, from the year 2006-07, a large number of employed teachers were appointed through Panchayat and Municipal bodies, whose total number is about 03 lakh 68 thousand. After the year 2023, an examination was conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission for the reinstatement of government teachers, in which 28 thousand Niyojit teachers also passed the examination and became government teachers. We decided that a separate examination will be conducted for the Niyojit teachers and they will be given 5 opportunities for this. One lakh 87 thousand 818 Niyojit teachers passed the first competency examination and 66 thousand 143 Niyojit teachers have passed the second competency examination. Today 100 special teachers are being given appointment letters here, the remaining people are being given appointment letters from the districts. A total of 2 lakh 53 thousand 961 Niyojit teachers passed the two competency examinations, who have been reinstated as government teachers. Now only 86 thousand Niyojit teachers are left who will soon be reinstated as government teachers after passing the examination. The Chief Minister said that 2 lakh 17 thousand 272 have been reinstated as government teachers by passing the examination of Bihar Public Service Commission and 02 lakh 53 thousand 961 have become government teachers from employed teachers, that is, a total of 04 lakh 71 thousand 233 have become government teachers. Recently, 66 thousand 800 teachers and 42 thousand 918 headmasters have passed the examination conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission, who will be given appointment letters soon. He said that the total number of government teachers has become 5 lakh 80 thousand 951.
The Chief Minister said that today appointment letters are being provided to teachers who have passed the Competency Examination 2. From the very beginning, we have worked for the upliftment of all classes, be it Hindu, Muslim, forward, backward, extremely backward, Dalit, Mahadalit. Many works have also been done for the upliftment of women. Women are coming forward in all areas. A large number of women have been reinstated as teachers. Today I want to tell all the teachers that they should teach the children well and develop them. I also want to tell the Education Minister to keep a constant watch on the teaching work. All the children should study diligently. Everyone should take special care that the children do not face any kind of hindrance in their studies. On this occasion, I once again congratulate and wish all of you and wish you a bright future.
