CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Modern Earthquake-Resistant Collectorate in Patna
New building features solar power, disabled-friendly facilities, and one-stop administrative services;

The new Collectorate building of the capital Patna is the new abode of the district administration. This building is a unique example of modern architecture. This building, built with earthquake-resistant technology, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on 10 December 2024. It has been designed in such a way that the work here is not affected even during any disaster. It has a 40 kW solar power plant, water purification system and sewerage treatment plant. This proves this building to be environmentally friendly. Special facilities have been provided in it for the common man, especially the disabled. There is a provision of lift from the ramp and basement itself, so that there is no problem in coming and going.
Along with this, all the facilities like data network, CCTV, interior decoration have been arranged in the office premises. All these features make this building the most special and different.
Good parking arrangements have also been made in the Collectorate. Open parking for 204 vehicles and basement parking for 240 vehicles have been made in the premises.
While constructing the building, complete care has been taken of the environment. Old trees have not been cut, but have been preserved. Apart from this, to make the campus beautiful and attractive, the old pillars of the old Collectorate building have been saved and preserved attractively on one side of the campus.
With this new building, common people do not need to wander in different offices and their work is getting done easily. They are getting all the administrative services at one place.
