CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Rising Ganga Water Levels, Directs Officials to Stay Alert
Chief Minister tours JP Ganga Path, reviews bridge construction and river bank areas in Patna;

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inspected the rising water level of the Ganga river around Patna by road. The Chief Minister reached JP Ganga Path via Atal Path and inspected the rising water level of the Ganga river till Gai Ghat. The Chief Minister also inspected the plantation and beautification work being done along the JP Ganga Path and directed to complete the work in a better manner.
The Chief Minister stopped at Digha Ghat and inspected the construction work of the new 6-lane bridge being built parallel to the JP Setu from Digha to Sonpur. He took detailed information from the officials regarding the construction work of this bridge. During this, the Chief Minister said that the construction of this bridge will be easy for the people going from Patna to Saran division. This bridge will be very useful in making the movement between North Bihar and South Bihar easy. Also, the pressure of vehicles on Mahatma Gandhi Setu and JP Setu will be reduced.
The Chief Minister stopped at Digha Ghat, Krishna Ghat and Gandhi Ghat of JP Ganga Path and saw the areas around the Ganga river. During the inspection of the rising water level of River Ganga, the Chief Minister directed the officials to remain fully alert keeping in mind the rising water level in the areas along the banks of River Ganga.
During the inspection, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Deepak Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Kumar Ravi, Commissioner of Patna Division Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan SM, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Kartikeya K. Sharma and other senior officers were present.
