CM Nitish Kumar Launches Multiple Agricultural Initiatives at Krishi Bhawan Event
Provides appointment letters to 315 block garden officers while inaugurating ₹144.72 crore engineering college and mobile app for farmers;

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the program organized by the Agriculture Department at Krishi Bhawan in Mithapur by lighting a lamp. In the program, the Chief Minister provided appointment letters to 315 newly appointed block garden officers. Along with this, the foundation stone was laid, inaugurated and launched many schemes of the Agriculture Department.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister provided appointment letters to 315 newly appointed block garden officers. Under the fourth agriculture road map, horticulture schemes are being run in the state to make agriculture profitable. With the aim of providing the benefits of these schemes to the farmers, 315 block garden officers recommended by the Bihar Public Service Commission have been appointed by the Agriculture Department. The Chief Minister symbolically provided appointment letters to the newly appointed block garden officers Ms. Jaya Kiran, Ms. Iram Arju, Ms. Sakshi Kumari, Mr. Ganesh Kumar, Mr. Shubham Kumar, Mrs. Pratima Murmu, Ms. Shriya Singh, Mr. Anshu Patel and Ms. Rashmi Supriya.
In the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated the construction work of Agricultural Engineering College, Ara (Bhojpur) by unveiling the stone plaque through remote at a cost of Rs 144.72 crore. Under the Third Agriculture Road Map (2017-22), Agricultural Engineering College has been established in Ara (Bhojpur) to strengthen agricultural education and research. From the year 2021-22, it is being operated in the campus of Agricultural College, Buxar. For this, 16 acres of land has been identified in Bhojpur district and the building will be constructed by the Building Construction Department at a total cost of Rs 144.72 crore. In this, provision has been made for administrative building, class room, library, separate hostels for boys and girls, workshop for agricultural equipment and residential complex. In this college, 60 students will be enrolled every year in B.Tech (Agri Engineering). The objective of the Agricultural Engineering College being established in Hasanpur, Bhojpur is to provide higher education of agricultural engineering to the youth from a scientific point of view. This institute will not only become a center of learning, but agricultural research, training and extension activities will also be conducted here. The establishment of this college will promote innovation in topics like climate-friendly agricultural techniques, post-harvest management, protected farming and crop residue management in the state. This college will provide new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship to our new generation.
After this, the Chief Minister unveiled the stone plaque through remote and laid the foundation stone of 62 sub-division level agriculture buildings costing Rs 55.26 crore. With its construction, all the services related to agriculture will be available at the sub-division level. In this building, all agriculture related services, schemes, technical advice and government assistance will be available under one roof for farmers through a single window system. Also, this building will become a medium of better communication between farmers and the government, which will make the decision-making process faster and transparent.
During the program, the Chief Minister inaugurated the 'Bihar Krishi' mobile app by the Agriculture Department to provide information about all the schemes of the Agriculture Department to the farmers of the state. Through this, all the information related to agriculture - Kisan Pass Book, Plant Protection, Market Price of Crops, Soil Testing, Weather Information and Latest Information Related to the Department will be available to the farmers.
The Chief Minister inaugurated Kharif Mahabhiyan-2025 from Krishi Bhawan premises. During this, he flagged off 20 promotional vehicles and seed vehicles related to Kharif Mahabhiyan-2025 for the districts. Under this promotional vehicle, farmers will be made aware by giving information about all the schemes related to Kharif season. Farmers will be made aware through audio / video medium from these vehicles. Along with this, the Chief Minister also flagged off the LED promotional vehicle equipped with modern technology. This promotional vehicle will go to various districts of the state and provide the latest information, schemes and technical guidance related to farming to the farmers.
The Chief Minister also inspected various parts of Krishi Bhawan, during which he visited the Krishi Call Center and inquired about the arrangements there. The Chief Minister also went to the roof of Krishi Bhawan and saw the entire campus from there. During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to install solar plates on the roof which will produce solar energy and meet the needs of Krishi Bhawan. Keep the Krishi Bhawan premises organized, clean and environmentally friendly. He said that we have been working in the interest of farmers since the beginning. Four agricultural road maps have been made which have increased the production and productivity of crops. Many schemes are being run for the development of the agricultural sector. Our aim is that the state should progress in the field of agriculture and the farmers should become prosperous. Many steps have been taken to make the agricultural sector profitable and increase the income of farmers.
