Delhi: Teachers are the true torch bearers of the knowledge in the Society. This was reflected in two-day International Conference organised by Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University ( DPSRU ) in the last week of August, 2025 in Delhi. The topic of the Conference was Recent Advances in Molecular and Translational Research in MASLD. The Conference was attended by a large number of Scholars, Researchers and Students including different dignitaries of the Society.
The Chief Guest Dr. A. S. Kiran Kumar, Ex-chairman of ISRO inaugurated the Conference along with Guests of Honour Professor Ranjana Jha, Vice Chancellor of IGDTUW and Dr. Deepak Tempe, Emeritus Professor and Former Vice Chancellor of ILBS.
The sessions were based on the burning issues of pharmaceutical research like Translational Frontiers in Therapeutics and Healthcare Innovation chaired by Professor Ravichandran, Vice Chancellor of DPSR University, Dr. Jitendra N. Verma, Chairman, BOG, DPSRU and Professor T. Velapandiyan, RPC, AIIMS, Delhi ; Clinical and Molecular Advances in MASLD chaired by Dr. Sangeeta Choudhury of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, Professor Deepti Pandita and Dr. Mukesh Nandave of DPSRU ; Population Genomics and Precision Medicine Approaches in MASLD chaired by Professor Guru Prasad Aithal of University of Nottingham, U.K. and Professor K. T. Shenoy ; Pharmacological Assays and Therapeutic Strategies in Cardiometabolic Syndrome chaired by Professor Vandana Roy of MAMC, Delhi, Professor Subrajit Biswas of Amity University and Dr. Sushama Talegaonkar of DPSRU ; Molecular Mechanisms and Translational Advances in MASLD chaired by Professor Vinod Paul of Niti Aayog, Professor Ravichandran V. of DPSRU, Dr. Bhabatosh Biswas and Dr. Bhabatosh Das of THSTI ; Microbial, Mitochondrial and Immune Mechanisms in MASLD chaired by Professor Rohini Muthuswamy of JNU, Professor Arun Gupta of CBPACS and Dr. Subra Chakraborty of JNU ; Translational Advances in AI, Cancer and MASLD Therapeutics chaired by Professor Ravichandran V. and Dr. Mukul Jain and finally the Valedictory session chaired by Vice Chancellor of DPSRU Professor Ravichandran V. and Joint Director of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Harendra Pratap Singh and CEO, Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council, Dr. Goutam Bhattacharya.
The Conference successfully provided a global platform for collaboration, innovation and knowledge exchange aimed at improving therapeutic outcomes in MASLD and related disorders. This Conference can be treated as pre Teacher's Day gift to Delhites !
