Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ) Records Highest Placement in 2024–25
The Delhi School of Journalism (DSJ), University of Delhi, has achieved an impressive 90% placement rate in the academic session 2024–25, reflecting the institute’s growing reputation in the media and communication sector.
As of July 30, 2025, a substantial number of 5th-year students have secured full-time positions and prestigious traineeships in major national media organizations. Ritik and Peeyoosh Pandey have joined Dainik Jagran, Noida, in its editorial department for an 11-month paid training program leading to confirmed appointments. Avirup Madumder, Harshul Bhatia, and Shubham Gupta have been appointed as Research Executives for Zee TV’sflagship program “Kahani Har Ghar Ki.” Meanwhile, Devanshi Verma and Ojas Singh joined Informist Media Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, as reporters. Students such as Nripendra Kumar Maurya and Pranjal Roy secured trainee reporting roles at Amar Ujala and News Nation Network Pvt. Ltd., while Sneha Jingala joined NDTV’s Gadgets 360. Additionally, Rishabh, Rakesh Kumar Jha, and Krishan Kant were placed as Junior Producers at Bajarbattu Content Vibes Pvt. Ltd.
Students from the 3rd and 4th years also gained significant exposure through internships. Several students—Aarti Kumari, Aastha Yadav, Kunj Arya, Mahima Chaudhary, Mayank Shekhar Rai, Palak Pal, and Pushpanjay Kumar—secured internships with Aaj Tak/India Today (News Tak-Digital Cell). Mahima Chaudhary also worked with Politicalbazaar.com, along with Uday Singh, Shreyanshi Yadav, and Dhruva Gupta in various content and reporting roles. Further, Sneha Sharma, Muskan Katariya, Jyoti Kushwaha, and Aditya Srivastava took on research and anchoring roles at Yesya Media, while Preeti Saini and Alok Bhagat served as anchor-reporters at Swadesh 24x7.
Adding to this momentum, Dr. Sanjay Verma, the newly appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at Delhi School of Journalism, has expressed strong commitment to further enhancing placement opportunities and industry engagement at DSJ. "Delhi School of Journalism has the potential to become a national hub for media education and industry-ready training," he said. "We aim to create a vibrant, future-ready ecosystem where students are exposed to both academic rigor and practical excellence.
