Delhi Shocker: Private Airline Pilot Held for Secretly Filming Woman with Hidden Spy Camera
Mohit Priyadarshi, a resident of the Civil Lines area in Agra, was found in possession of a lighter-shaped device that contained a hidden camera, police said.
A 31-year-old pilot working with a private airline has been arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly recording a woman without her consent using a hidden spy camera.
The accused, identified as Mohit Priyadarshi, was arrested by the Kishangarh police in South West Delhi. According to officials, Priyadarshi is a resident of Civil Lines in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. During the arrest, police found a lighter-shaped device fitted with a hidden camera in his possession.
The incident took place on the night of August 30 at Shani Bazar, where the woman, a local resident, noticed the man trying to secretly film her. She immediately reported the incident to the police.
A case was registered under Sections 77 and 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigators reviewed CCTV footage from the area and circulated images of the suspect. With help from local sources, Priyadarshi was identified and later arrested.
During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and admitted that he had been making such videos for personal gratification. Police also confirmed that he is unmarried and currently employed as a pilot with a private airline.
The investigation is ongoing.
