"Gaurav Gogoi Links Assam CM Sarma's ISI Claims to His Mental State"
"Assam CM Himanta Sarma Claims Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi Visited Pakistan at Invitation of ISI";

Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi responded to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma's recent claims, calling them "insane" and asserting that Sarma had been making baseless accusations about him ever since he entered politics 13 years ago.
Addressing the allegations on social media, Gogoi expressed concern for the CM's health, stating, “I am worried about the mental state of the Assam Chief Minister. For reasons only known to him, I’ve been on his radar since I entered Assam politics. He has made many unfounded remarks over the years, but this latest one borders on absurdity.” He also criticized Sarma's behavior, saying, "He is offering no facts, just acting like an IT cell troll. A chief minister should not behave this way. If he has any evidence to support his allegations, he should present it to the public."
Gogoi's response came after Sarma alleged that the Congress leader visited Pakistan on the invitation of its intelligence agency, the ISI, and suggested he had close ties with the Pakistani government. Sarma further questioned the citizenship of Gogoi's wife and children, claiming they had connections to Pakistan as well.
Gogoi rejected these accusations, mocking Sarma’s narrative and adding, "After 2026, we will ensure that he gets some rest. The script he is following is worse than a B-grade movie." He also mentioned how Sarma had previously spread false claims about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, even suggesting a "body double" was leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
"The farce can only be hidden for so long," Gogoi continued. "Ninety-nine percent of what the Chief Minister says is nonsense. If he has any facts, he should make them public instead of hiding behind imaginary deadlines like the one he’s pushing for September."
In response to Sarma's accusation that Gogoi visited Pakistan at the ISI's invitation, the Chief Minister had claimed, “We have documents proving that Gaurav Gogoi went to Pakistan not for tourism but for training, and he was working closely with Pakistan’s establishment." Sarma further clarified, "The invitation was from Pakistan’s Home Department, not from their Foreign Ministry or cultural agencies, which is typical for training purposes."
This ongoing back-and-forth has only heightened tensions between the two political figures in Assam.
